Northern Charm : Lake Bratan, Handara Gate, Waterfalls & Swings

Your first stop in the morning is the iconic Beratan Lake where you will see the majestic temple sitting on a small island in the lake, just like you always see on Bali postcards. This lakeside temple was built in honor of Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake that was formed from a volcanic eruption 30,000 years ago. Your guide will also explain more about the history of this ancient temple as well as the Balinese people and their culture.

You will then visit the iconic Handara Gate, known as the path to serenity. Take beautiful photos in front of the Handara Gate with a stunning green view and a very exotic traditional Balinese gate as your backdrop. Feast your eyes on the stunning green surroundings, the beautiful scenery and the stunning backdrop of the smoky green hills between the gates creating a picture perfect for your trip. Don't forget to take some polaroid photos too while you're here.

Prepare footwear because next you will visit the majestic and beautiful Banyumala Twin Waterfalls. It is absolutely perfect for a quiet and peaceful afternoon in the arms of Mother Earth. The natural swimming pool is inviting with translucent turquoise water. Swim in serenity, listen to the roar of the flowing water, and enjoy the sight of the vibrant greenery. While no picture will do this natural wonder justice, that shouldn't stop you from that perfect Instagram shot. Enjoy lunch (optional)
